PUPUSAS



I have discovered my new favorite food.

Handmade corn tortilla pocket filled with queso and beans. So simple, and yet SOOOO delicious and so much better than a quesadilla. Apparently they come from El Salvador.

Also, in the process of looking up the picture to show you guys, I found this grammatically amusing entry on Wikipedia:

"In spite of its low cost in the market, pupusas represents an important element in the economy of El Salvador. It must consider that next to pupusas, exports their ingredients by individual; for the case, in 2005 it was only exported to the United States $604.4 in loroco."

I am now going to use 'for the case' in everyday speech and drive my grammar-stickler actors crazy. ;)
