worst.... shift.... EVER.

AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I'm so mad. Today was the slowest shift of the week at work. Almost nobody got any donations, even the best of callers couldn't get more than a $25 gift, but all that was okay because we had a good attitude about it. Anyway, there was this one number that I waited until the end of the shift to call because I'd only gotten a $50 donation in 3 and 1/2 hours, which is a far cry from the $650 I'd raised in my other 2 shifts, and this number had a note next to it which said the woman definitely wanted to donate and that she had only waited because she wanted to talk to her husband. So I call her and do my schpiel, and she says, "Well how do we do this?" and I start reading off the different amounts that she could give. I get down to $250 and she goes "Well you know I was really thinking more of $10 or $15." So I start telling her how that's fine and how I could do our lowest level which is $25 now and $25 later. Immediately she says ok, gives me all her credit card information, and I say thank you and am about to hang up when she says "Wait a minute, how much are you charging me?" So I repeat myself and she goes, "No. No. I thought you were charging me $10 now and $15 later. No. I can't do that." So I tell her that this is our lowest level and I'm about to say, "BUT, every little bit helps, so let me get my supervisor and see what we can do," When she interrupts me and goes, "No, I'm sorry I can't. Goodbye," and hangs up on me. Now, I'm thinking, we have your credit card info, wouldn't you want to keep talking and make sure we're not going to charge you anyway? But she just hung up in panic.

What a sucky way to end my shift. AND I have a paper due tomorrow.
Ugh. I need ice cream.
