I went to my little sisters' junior high graduation tonight. It was extremely strange seeing them go through the same process that I did... I wonder what their high school graduations will be like, seeing as they're going to the same high school that I did. As far as graduations go, it was pretty successful. Here are the pros and cons (listen to me sound all important) -

Cons
* Blasts from the past... it seems that two of the most notorious figures from my relatively bad junior high experience had younger brothers/sisters in the graduating class.
* The after-grad dance, wherin junior high kids stood around not dancing and a DJ found every excuse to play absolute crap (with the exception of "I Wanna Be Sedated" by the Ramones).
* Being flirted with by 14 year old boys that I've known since they were wearing diapers and drooling on their fingers. Ick. Ick ick ick.

Pros:
* One word - Noooodles.
* I only cried once, during my sister's speech.
* I was surrounded by sarcastic comments from people I love.
* I didn't have to worry about making my own speech, and was therefore able to relax and laugh at other people's worries.

and the top pro-
* I got to go out for ice cream afterwards with a sweet, funny boy.

All in all, tonight was good. :)
