This morning I heard bagpipes in the distance, isn't that strange? Then I walked out to the assemby hall and there they were - three bagpipers in full regalia (kilts, knee socks, the works), huffing and puffing and playing so loudly nobody could hear what anyone else was saying. There was even a snare drum. They were from the Celtic Arts Academy and played about 5 songs, including "Amazing Grace" and of course, "Flower of Scotland". "But, why?" you might ask. "Why would bagpiper come and play at your school, randomly, when they've been using the practice rooms on campus for years and have never shown any inkling of such a plan before? Why did they come?" Here's the answer: just so that they could send us off on our spring break. Isn't that nice?
